Most of our country existing mines are underground mines, which are in the hundreds of meters underground, so the environment of mines are complex and changeable, and hid safety problems of uncertain. In recent years, coal mine accidents occurred, resulting in many miners casualties and property losses, which directly exposed to the existing coal mines afety monitoring system which can not achieve good safety monitoring. ZigBee technology is a wireless communication technology that integrates information collection, processing and transmission as a whole, it also has low power consumption, low price, wide coverage and good stability characteristics. This paper will be applied to real time positioning system of underground workers, which improve the performance of safety monitoring system of coal mine.By comparison with other types of wireless communication technology, Study on the applicability of safety monitoring system used in underground personnel positioning in the ZigBee,and In-depth discuss with the ZigBee wireless communication technology and positioning technology, the LQI value into the RSSI value which improve positioning algorithm, so as to improve the accuracy of positioning. The overall framework and studied by combining ZigBee technology and the 485 communication network method to build data communication platform. The use of TI manufacturing company of the CC2530 element as a wireless communication node, and the elements of the corresponding circuit and principle are discussed in detail. At the same time reference nodes and mobile nodes to the gateway, carried out the work flow software, has reached the purpose of implementing positioning.Finally, the data collected after analysis, proves that the system in terms of positioning accuracy error is less than 3m, can meet the design requirements.
