With the rapid development of Global economic, the survival of the ecological environment security situation has become more acute, which is contradictory to the increasingly pursuit to high quality ecological environment. The deterioration of the ecological environment has seriously affected our daily life. Landscape ecology research has a guiding role on analyzing homeostasis relationship between multiple internal feedback mechanisms of ecological zones function, structure and various organizations in the process of ecological environment. Thus conducting the ecological environment quality evaluation with the supporting of ecological landscape pattern analysis has an important significance in the regional economic development and ecological protection of the environment.Based on the domestic and abroad research and the analysis of development trend,this paper makes a detailed analysis of landscape ecology and ecological security-related principles. Then paper selects TM remote sensing data as the primary data source and uses the improved C5.0 algorithm to extract regional landscape ecological factors for the study area of Victoria, which is the Australia state. The main work is as follows.(1)Landscape ecological factors were extracted on regional Victoria by C5.0decision tree algorithm, including remote sensing image classification. On this basis, the ecological elements data to meet the accuracy is done as the underlying data in the study area landscape pattern and ecological evaluation.(2)The paper completed the landscape indices statistics of study area refer to global geographic ecological zoning, and various ecological zoning characteristic and changes were analyzed according to the characteristic landscape indices.(3) On the basis of landscape pattern analysis, the paper constructed a large regional ecological environment evaluation index system including natural, ecological,social and economic indicators. On this basis, environmental safety was assessed combining the results of the study area landscape pattern statistics and analysis. Finally the driving force was analyzed in the ecological environment changes according to the evaluation results.Ecological security evaluation has great significance to environmental protection.The ecological evaluation supported by large regional landscape pattern provides some reference to future evaluation of a large area of ecological research and plays an active role in Global environment protection.
