Information is the major bases to people when making decisions, the integrity of the information is the key to the success of affairs, however, there is big gap between actual results and expected results of men’ behaviors due to the objective existence of the phenomenon of information asymmetry.Information asymmetry is more prominent in the insurance market. The rapidly developing insurance industry of China has gradually become an important part of China’s national economy in recent years, however, the asymmetric information is intensified in the insurance market, it greatly hinder the further development of insurance industry. The phenomenon of insurance information asymmetry is mainly reflected in the information asymmetry among the insurer and the insured. For one thing, the insured will cause the risk of moral hazard with consequences adverse selection behavior or bad behavior using dominant position information; For another, as for insurance products and services, the insurer are in the status of information superiority, some of the insurer take advantage of the information to mislead the insured into buying insurance blindly or damage the legitimate interests of the insurance.This paper elaborated literature research status of the information asymmetry of the insurance both domestic and foreign from the angle of the insured behavior in the insurance information asymmetry phenomenon,then described the behavior of information superiority and inferior position of the insured, wealso had an in-depth analysis of the behavior reason of the two kinds of information status.Finally, this paper, learning from the practice of the asymmetric information in insurance both abroad and at home, put forward strategies of restraining the insured person information superiority status and improving the insurance information inferior level. these strategies mainly including:inhibition of insured’s adverse selection, avoid the insured moral hazard and improve the insurance policyholders know knowledge and consciousness, strengthen the supervision of insurance service consciousness and internal and external control, and other measures to strengthen market supervision level etc. These above methods are aiming at strengthening the information balance of insurance market, promoting the healthy development of the insurance industry.
