| Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy and social progress, whose sustainable development depends on the sustainable development of agriculture. China is a traditional agricultural country. According to over4000years’history of the Chinese peoples, China has the tradition of farming, which means that agriculture’s sustainable development is an urgent task. Guangdong is a big economic province in China, playing an important role in the economic construction and social development of the whole country. Therefore, the agricultural sustainable development in Guangdong has a significant impact and significance on the nationwide agricultural sustainable development.Referring to a lot of literature and employing AHP, we set the agricultural sustainable development in Guangdong province as the target, which can be divided into three systems---economic sustainability, ecological sustainability and social sustainability. As to economic sustainability, we measure it by agricultural machinery power, per capita net income of farmers, the agricultural added value, grain yield per unit area and grain output. As to ecological sustainability, we evaluate it by the amount of pesticide application, the amount of fertilizer application, the family-run rural arable land, forest coverage and effective irrigation area. As to social sustainability, we evaluate it by urbanization, the Engel coefficient of rural residents, per capita housing area of rural residents, rural medical point, as well as urban and rural incomes ratio. After computing the outcome, we analyze and elaborate the sustainable development in Guangdong province from overall, economic, ecological, and social perspective with a joint gathering of the raw data. Finally, the analysis results, combined with the status quo of the agricultural sustainable development in Guangdong province, we put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. |
