With the economic globalization in China as well as the whole world, the international operation in enterprises has become an inevitable trend. Fully and effectively making use of international markets and resources has become an important strategic choice for enterprises and even the country. In this case, more and more enterprises go abroad to seek effective allocation of resources on a global scale and actively participate in international division of labor as well as cooperation, seeking a broader space for development. At the same time, the cultural differences between countries and regions also bring new challenges for multinational companies and their managers in terms of their traditional thinking and management concepts. How to implement cross-cultural human resource management in different cultural backgrounds and geographical environment has become an urgent problem for the small and medium-sized enterprises going abroad to solve. Effective cross-cultural human resource management is a powerful guarantee for successful operations of multinational enterprises. YJ Company is a small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprise composed by the employees from China, Pakistan and Africa, so there are great cultural differences as well as conflicts among the employees. This article discusses the cross-cultural human resource management in the company and tries to provide certain significance for other foreign trade enterprises.This paper first introduces the research background, research status at home and abroad as well as the research method. Secondly, the paper the relevant theories of cross-cultural human resources management are discussed in detail.Then, the paper discusses and analyzes five problems of cross-cultural human resources management in YJ Company. Then, Strom Pena’s cross-cultural comparison system is adopted to make a comparison of the different cultural values of YJ company’s staff and analyze the specific reasons for the fiveproblems of cross-cultural human resource management. Finally, the paper puts forward some concrete countermeasures for perfecting the cross-culture human resource management from the perspective of recruitment system, training system, performance evaluation system, salary welfare system.
