Core Competitiveness can make an enterprise remain invincible and have enduringadvantages in fierce competitions. This topic is one of the research hot spots of enterprisemanagement as well. However, in this regard, systemic theoretical research is limited. Inaddition, an universal methodology on how to evaluate the core competitiveness of anenterprise is still absent in the railway and bridge industry in China. Due to these, it issignificantly important to conduct a research concerning the Core Competitiveness of theFSDI’s bridge business.Based on the relevant research results of Core Competitiveness from China andabroad, this study establishes a systemic evaluation for the Core Competitiveness ofenterprises oriented by intellectual properties. Additionally, this system could be applied toidentify, build, analyze and improve the Core Competitiveness of the FSDI’s bridgebusiness. Therefore, an ideal Core Competitiveness of the FSDI’s bridge business isconstructed, at the same time, an evaluation index system is made to analyze and evaluatethe Core Competitiveness of the FSDI’s bridge business and find out its inadequacy.Through study collection, questionnaire survey and analysis of research data, this articlegives the conclusion of the existing Core Competitiveness of the FSDI’s bridge businessand also puts forward measures on how to develop competitive advantages and improvethe weaknesses of the FSDI’s bridge business.The development path and problems of FSDI’s bridge business are typical amonglarge railway design institutes in China. In this case, it is significant to discuss the corecompetitiveness. This article is instructive to the development of FSDI’s bridge businessand it is the reference of the whole railway survey and design industry. This paper isinnovative on the choice of research objects.
