Research On The Selection Of Logistics Service Integrator For A Enterprise

With the adjustment of the global industrial structure and the shift of manufacturing center, more and more companies choose to outsource their logistics which is their non-core businesses to a professional logistics company in order to reduce logistics costs. Under the premise that logistics outsourcing requires specialized and personalized service, logistics service supply chain formed as a new supply chain model, which providing customers with a full range of integrated logistics services through the integration of logistics services. The automotive industry is one of the earliest industry that implementing the LSSC management, A enterprise is a well-known automobile manufacturers. However, problems exists in its automotive logistics, such as logistics business dispersed, car carriers lack the capacity, poor logistics information communication, the lack of logistics professionals and so on. The implementation of LSSC management and choosing a suitable logistics service integrator can effectively solve these problems.Sorting the relevant literature, this paper defines the basic theory of logistics service supply chain further, gives the definition of LSSC, and analyzes the structure of the logistics service supply chain, elaborating the member companies of this supply chain. Combined with the characteristics of the automobile industry, this paper expounds the form, content and structure of the automotive logistics service supply chain. With A enterprise for the research object, in order to solve problems existing in A’s logistics, this paper analyzes the considerations when A selecting its logistics service integrator, drawing on relevant literature and interview data to construct the criteria system for the choosing of logistics service integrator, building the judgment matrix by questionnaire, evaluating the three companies to be selected as A’s logistics service integrator by using the workable Analytic Hierarchy Process, to provide the basis for A’s decision making. By analyzing the expected effect after the integrator selection, further demonstrating the necessity for A to select a logistics service integrator.
