Not only has academic value for the study of philosophy, but also for b etter use of big data, strengthen our philosophical cognition of big data, has important practical significance.Based on content, characteristics, development history of big data, the philosophical cognitive of big data in this paper is from three aspect: the ontology, methodology and textualism. On the ontological level, as the objective existence of the world, big data and has a very different nature from traditional philosophy: material world, spiritual world, and even the Popper’s “world 3”- objective knowledge, big data belongs to world 4. As the world 4, big data has the characteristics of objectivity and fault tolerance, also can interact with the world 1, 2, 3.In the aspect of methodology, big data is the data-intensive research paradigm-the fourth paradigm after qualitative research, quantitative research and simulation experiment study. Not only provides a new scientific research paradigm for natural science, and provides an unparalleled research means for social science research and the source of data for large sample. In the aspect of textualism, big data has identity with the concept of “preconception”, “fusion of horizons”, “historical interpretation” of theory of textualism, and has commensurability with the cycle of consciousness.Big data has brought profound changes for the philosophical thinking method, methodology, epistemology, big data era changed the mindset of causality, has brought the new critical thinking.
