The Outdoor Experiential Reality Show In China Under Cultural Perspective

Since 2013,the variety shows of all TV stations have focused on the outdoor experiential reality show,this is a new trend after civilian talent show.As the representation of the human spiritual discourse,the appearance of the outdoor experiential reality show is closely related to the background of the whole time.This paper takes”experience”as the breakthrough point,and tries to explore the cultural and practical significance of this social phenomenon on the basis of experiential reality show.Besides introduction,this paper consists of six parts:The introduction mainly introduces the specific contents of several representative programs,and makes a detailed explanation of the concepts of the reality show and experiential reality show.As an exotic thing,the development process of reality show is complicated,and its humanistic value is also changed from stimulating“desire”to consuming“experience”.The great change is the representation of the spirit of times.The second part is the coming of the era of experience.I regard “experience”as a keyword and explore the background of the reality show,which is converted from the fever of talent show to experiential heat. Meanwhile,I elaborate the characteristics of the “experience”from three aspects: advocating personality,expecting participation and integrating into life.The third part is about the“experience” process of outdoor reality show.Combined with the existing types of experiential reality show,I extract three grant motifs(emotion,childhood and nature) from the main contents. Subsequently,I analyze the specific process of the reality show from spatial dimension(nostalgic space and landscape space)and time dimensions(to express feelings of history and imagine the future world). The reality show guides the public either to return the country and close to nature or go out the country and imagine the future.The reality show specifies the abstract spirit of the times by the super time and space of“experience”.The fourth part is the”experience”effect of outdoor reality show.According to the external environment and participation of experimenters,the effect of experience will be divided into entertainment experience, education experience and aesthetic experience.At the same time, as a media,experience of the participants and the audience of the reality show is different.Participants can be present at the scene as one of narrators, while audiences could only get empathy from the heart.But the two different types of experience are both opposite and united.The fifth part is the”experience”revelation of the outdoor reality show.Combined with the spirit of the times,the reality show entertains public in the name of experience,at the same time,it is also a reflection of the living conditions of the contemporary people.It attempts to lead people to escape from the city to return to nature. Such thinking is certainly valuable, but it has much limitation,because the reality show is a deep thought on the basis of the”show”.The real return to nature is the nature of the human spirit, and what human needs is not to escape, but the spiritual harmony.The conclusion mainly expounds the value and significance of experiential reality show to the contemporary people’s spiritual world.Although the experiential reality show is only a show, its thinking have a reasonable core about experience.At least in the short trip about experience,experience guides us of that place and time.This paper takes”experiences” as a window to consider the current social phenomenon,which the experiential reality show occupies the screen.Through the analysis of the program structure of experiential reality show and the concrete effect of experience,I suggest to return to nature of the spirit and reconstruct the spiritual home.Due to the limited academic ability, there must be some defects in this paper, I will continue to improve it in future.
