| Social media plays an important role in Gezi Park Protests which is an environmental sit-in that turned into a socialmovement in Turkey. Twitter, Facebook and YouTube were used to spread the messages and call on people to join the movements.The main purpose of the paper is to use Content Analysis to analyze what kind of video has higher degree of online engagement, which is measured by the number of views, shares, likes, unlikes, and comments. A number of 219 YouTube videos have been coded by the category, upload date, upload time, duration of the video, the editing method used and content.The paper finds that musical video, video that contains crowd and the number of subscribers have significant relationship with online engagement. |
