Artillery Locating Radar is a ground artillery radar, mainly for reconnaissance of enemy emplacements, and calibration of one’s own artillery fire. The signal processing as a core part of Artillery Locating Radar system, the main function is to extract target information in complex environments. This paper focuses on project implementation,doing research on the key algorithms of the radar signal processing system, aimed at the characteristics of TMS320C6678 multicore processors to design and implement the algorithms, and completed outfield joint test of the whole radar system.This paper studies the design and implementation of the Artillery Locating Radar signal processing algorithms based on multicore DSP in detail. Firstly, starting from the radar as a whole, introducing radar system works, doing a detailed analysis of the target crossing problems, and making a detailed introduction in the working process of the data processing computer, which is the control center of the radar. Secondly, making a deep research in MTD and CFAR processing algorithms. Finally, a detailed analysis of software design methods based on multicore DSP, including the interconnection interface design, multicore software design methods, the entire signal processing software implementation process and th e corresponding project implementation of MTD, CFAR, target merge, extract parameters for signal processing, and introduced a new CFAR algorithm, which is improved on the basis of the system’s waveform features.
