With the development of technology, the prosperous of media has changed human’s life deeply. The Media is the Message (Marshall McLuhan,1964), every single emergence of media types actually lead to the change of communication methods and contexts. The age of radio and television is passing, the network drama is becoming the new trend. Even though higher quantities and qualities induce the developing of network drama from 2014, it still demonstrates a clear trend of consumerism. With the reasons mentioned, the paper intend to research the spectacle of network drama and divide the drama into context, characters, and story by semiology’s perspective, which may contribute to providing new fields of internet drama research and demonstrating the consumerism behind its civilization.The article has three main parts. First, the spectacle theory and macro view would do a favor in analyzing the drama from its backgrounds, presentation, and realization.Second, the article tries to decompose a phenomenal network drama Diors Maw’s contexts, structures and characters by semiology and micro view.Third, with the micro and macro view, the article tries to demonstrate the true face of the network drama who disguised as grassroots ones. And the paper hopes the research could help the audience to recognize the costume signal clearly by decompose its producing, advertisement, and crowd funding measures.
