China Central Television, commonly abbreviated as CCTV, is the predominant state television broadcaster in mainland China. Workout, an original sports and exercise science research TV show owned by CCTV, has scooped up plenty of plaudits since its run from April the 30th,2014. By applying the methods of the documents, investigation, data-analysis and interview, this study undergoes a multi-angle analysis of the show Workout. (1) The paper suggests Workout produced much positive influence on promoting nationwide physical fitness, sports medicine, public health recommendations, domestic television sports programs, as well as social benefit. (2) Modern media promote the combination between sport and medicine. (3) Through the way of combination of online and offline, providing scientific populist masses exercise science platform, promoted the increase of people’s consciousness of popular science movemento (4) Competition with similar TV column is zero to 100% of the original style, initiated the original class new model of television programs, promoting the development of sports industry. Moreover, Workout will carry influence in the sports industry and media circle in the long run. And some recommendations proposed by the paper are based on both theory and practice in order to promote the evolution and perfection of the show, and help the implementation of Nationwide Physical Fitness Program. Concretely, it includes several aspects, such as:1. improving quality of the production,2. polishing Studio system,3. extending the scope of sport and exercise subjects,4. ensuring full range of communication and integration with the intenet.
