Under the environment of knowledge economy, the research of doctoral and master’s theses is of great academic value and use value. This research can provide imperative reference and guidance for the training and profession’s development of doctors and masters. The research of the doctoral and master’s theses of Library Science, Information Science and Archival Science can reveal the valuable information of the doctoral and master’s theses of Library Science, Information Science and Archival Science, which can also provide necessary reference for the training of the doctor and Master of this profession, as well as contribute to the research of other disciplines’ theses.This paper analyzes doctoral and master’s theses based on the data from CNKI database with bibliometric perspective. Firstly, the thesis introduces the theory and methods for this study, such as academic evaluation theory and common citation analysis method, citation recommendation analysis, content analysis method,knowledge mapping method. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the degree point and theses for doctor and master degree by bibliometric method. Thirdly, the thesis gives visual presentations of Library science, Information science and Archives theses by the method of content analysis and knowledge map, and compares the results with the research focus of 18 core journals of the Library science, Information science and Archives in the CNKI. It finds that research focus of core journals lead to the research focus of theses. Finally, this paper uses a new analysis method-citation recommendation analysis, which analyzes the high impact experts and high impact journals in the small domain experts’ eyes horizontally and vertically, outlines the author’s citing and cited visualization map, and shows the research theme of theses of Library Science, Information Science and Archival Science. At the end of this thesis, the deficiencies of the thesis are pointed out and the future research is prospected.
