Analysis Of The Mainstream Television Media In Kazakhstan China Image Construction

Since the beginning of 21st century, tide of globalization has swept across the world, political, economic, cultural and other exchanges between nations has became increasingly close. Globalization has not only brought us mutual political understanding, rapid economic growth and increasingly rich culture, also provided an indispensable background and premise for state image of all nations. A country only formed a good image in the international community, can it lay a good foundation for development of politics, economy, culture, etc.China and Kazakhstan are developing countries in Asia, with China’s rise in international society, Kazakhstan got an increasingly desire in cooperation with China. Since Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV media has the ability of shaping image of other countries, while China is one of the most assignable of Kazakhstan, so naturally Kazakhstan’s mainstream media became important places for shaping China’s image and dealing with relations between two countries. Whether the mainstream TV media can shape China’s image with objectivity, accuracy and fairness has great significance to improve Kazakhstan people’s impression of China and further strengthen and improve China’s international status. Therefore, the research of "foreign media in building China’s image" this subject also has full necessity, based on such background and significance, this paper intended to study the report of Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV media and the presented image of China.The main content of this paper is as follows:Chapter one is the origin of problems, which mainly analyzed the concept and relationship between media and national image, mainstream media’s status and characteristics of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan TV media’s status after independence and sample analysis of breakthrough point of Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV media, etc. After research the author found that main characteristic of Kazakhstan’s mainstream media is: closely associated with government and interest groups, multilingual communication under background of multi-culture, focus on reports’sensationalism and ratings.Based on China’s image in reports of Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV media, the second chapter emphatically analyzed story about China in Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV media such as "Khabar", "Kazakh TV", and "24.kz". Section one choose one of Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV media "Kazakh TV", mainly studied its frequency of news reports, analysis of news type, story, information sources, expressed attitude in reports related to China, etc. The second sector took the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japanese aggression as example, carried out case analysis of Kazakhstan’s mainstream media report related to important events of China. The author also summarized a series of reporting methods and skills involved in press coverage related to China. Finally took the analysis of bilateral high-level visits report between the two countries as example, mainly discussed the reports.The fourth chapter mainly analyzed framework and China’s image in report of Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV media. This paper mainly discussed the relationship between Kazakhstan’s mainstream media and China’s image. The author first defined the definition of national image, and summarized China’s image in different areas of coverage of Kazakhstan’s mainstream TV television media, meanwhile, concluded China’s comprehensive image in report of Kazakh’s media involved in this paper. Specifically, affecting factors of Kazakhstan’s mainstream media on communication of "China image" included:Kazakhstan’s own institutional factors, influencing factors of former Soviet Union and the United States these three aspects.
