With the improvement of people’s current living standard and the deepening of the open policy, the demand for better services and all kinds of certificates provided by the government agencies have been increased accordingly. Meanwhile, under the background of the national restrictions in the construction of office buildings for government organs, contradiction between the high-quality service and the existing conditions should be resolved through the exploration of information-based means.The construction of the information system can help in labor saving, improving productivity, error reducing as well as time saving, so as to realize the ultimate goal of public satisfaction.Online reservation management information system offers a lot, such as the reduction of the round trips to the processing hall, the reasonable allocation of time and government resources, efficiency improvement, shortening the waiting time,improving the intensive resources for government services, and increasing the service efficiency for the people.After detailed investigation and consultation, this paper involves an elaboration and design on the online reservation management information system. Based on the essence design notion, the database model will be designed, and the table data structures are set up, including the different data tables for the the unit, appointment,date and so on. All the logical relation for the table structures are designed at the same time.The paper adopts the Browser/Server structure and mainly implements the online reservation management information system in the following three aspects:1. The paper puts forward the execution process of online reservation management system, expounds the demand of the whole system, analyzes in detailthe data entity in the cases, functions and the feasibility, and elaborates the data structure of each data entity in depth.2. The system adopts Browser/Server type, the development language was JAVA, the development tool was Eclipse. The development environment can be the JDK(version 1.5 or above), Tomcat(version 5.0 or above), the Windows 2003 operating system.3. The paper illustrates the detailed designs to implement the system reservation module, unit management module, time management module, cueing machine docking module, query statistics analysis module, with the page designs and function flow diagrams for each function module. It designs the system flow chart and main code implementation.After testing, this system can satisfy the requirements of the system design and implement the functions of requirement analysis, which thus proves that it is correct in design ideology and methods, and right in the data structure design, with the conclusion reaching the expected goal and effects.
