The technology of fingerprint attendance has been very popular, but its application in campus is not very extensive. Although digital campus management platform can provide student’s class information, accommodation and other kinds of information, it is still need someone to check lesson and check sleep and so on. Obviously, this is not very convenient. However, the status of students in class can be counted automatically without human intervention by using fingerprint attendance. Therefore, it can be very easy to realize the automatic counting of student’s class attendance and daily attendance by using the data of digital campus management platform with fingerprint information.This paper mainly introduced the design and implementation of fingerprint attendance subsystem, including relevant knowledge required for development of the system, requirements analysis, design, testing of the system and so on. The system consists in the management of student’s class attendance and daily life, authentication, and data analysis. The management of student’s class attendance includes functions of recoding student’s class attendance and it feedback the attendance information to the counselor teacher timely. The management of student’s daily life includes statistical records of student’s sleeping attendance and attendance of various activities.This system used an integrated development environment for Eclipse3.7, database Mysq15.5, the programming language Java 7.0, an integrated framework for Spring MVC, project management tools for redmine 2.5. Fingerprint attendance machine for the two development kit uses the software for VS2008, the programming language C#.It is very convenient and accurate to use fingerprint attendance subsystem to make statistics of student’s class and daily attendance. And it can save manpower and improve working efficiency. The attendance data of this system proved the basis data for analyzing the interests and psychological dynamics of students from different grades and different majors. Therefore, the design of this system further improves the management of digital campus.
