Study And Development On Generating Test Paper And Automatic Marking System Of Mechanical Courses

With development of computer technology and the increasing enrollment of colleges and universities, the applications of computer have been expanded to all the field of education, such as Computer-Assisted Instruction, Computer aided Design and etc., but rarely involves the teaching effect evaluation, Such as test, homework, etc. The exam and homework are indispensable components of institutions of higher learning education teaching, so the automatic test paper generation system and marking system have been obtained more and more the attention in recently.In the present thesis, study and development of the automatic test paper generation system are mainly aimed at the characteristics of Mechanical basic course in colleges and universities. A test database and function module of system were set up and designed. Meanwhile, in order to make it easier to store the exam questions consist ing of the large amount of non-text information such as pictures, formula, and etc., the binary data types and data stream have been used to solve the hybrid graphic and text information storage and output problems by combining database technology with Active X. Automatic and manual test paper generation are realized based on improved random algorithm, outputting and printing of the test papers by using Microsoft Office Word offered interface.A homework marking system is mainly aimed at marking of subjective questions, Teachers establish the corresponding EXCEL template examination database based on the characteristics of subjects, through the setting of EXCEL format, location, and the standard answer key words and the particular order, realized by point to give points, divided step score. And the system gives each exercises every step of the situation of marking, namely, reviews and grades of the evaluation module.convenient for students to learn the knowledge that don’t haveThe exam card marking system is mainly aimed at marking the objective question in the exam, and the system overcomes the limit of previous designed special exam card, high quality of the paper and high filling requirements. A teacher can define the exam card, edit the test standard answer and give the points scheme in different cases.And, the system is able to simultaneously scan and mark the multiple exam card template(such AB roll).After marking, the system provides the user with the query, check and correction automatically or manually. The individual exam card can bring up the image viewer real time through setting the properties, breaking the previous limits that bring up the original copy when reviewing. The marking system can perform a subject group and generate and print various kinds of statistical reports in order to facilitate data sharing.Finally through the instance analysis of the system, and compared with the traditional way of a generating test paper and marking it, the results show that the mechanical automatic generate test paper system and marking system are not only easy to operate, but also can meet the requirements of different users about the system.Through the study of this thesis, the whole system not only improves the working efficiency of the teacher, enhances the teaching effect evaluation scientifically and fairly, and saves the cost of teaching, but also reduces the teacher’s heavy workload, so that they are of important significance to improve the teaching quality.
