The traditional optical distribution network has many problem in its construction, maintenance and operation, which is becoming a huge obstacle that limit the development of optical access network business. Therefore the intelligent DON technology arises at the historic moment. This paper designs the intelligent ODN solution to achieve the fiber optical port electronic identity, its information’s reading and writing in manageable ODN, which is based on radio frequency identification technology and can be used to reform the traditional ODN.This paper compares the three kinds of representative identification technology of the intelligent ODN solutions and selects the RF electronic tag to identify the optical fiber jumper in the optical distribution network. According to the operating characteristics of the RFID system and the requirements of optical fiber port identification in optical distribution network, the radio frequency tag whose working frequency is 13.56 MHz is selected to identifies the optical fiber jumper, and this designs nested structure which packages the electronic tag and is placed over the optical fiber pigtail without changing its physical construction. This paper studies the characteristics of antenna inductance coil which is based on the basis of physical characteristics of the antenna resonant circuit, designs the small size antenna coil for the intensive optical fiber port in the distribution frame according to the antenna matching circuit for directly matched antennas and50 matched antennas, and tunes the antenna coil. Paper uses MAX4638 integrating multiple antennas to achieve the control of 12 ports in each row of the distribution frame. Comparing the antenna switch MAX4638’s work characteristic in the different working voltage and integrated position condition, this paper designs the set to control the ports in each row of the distribution frame, which uses MAX4638 powered by single +5V and directly parallel integrating the antenna coil.The paper designs hardware circuit of intelligent ODN solution and completes software control program of this system, which achieve the application of identifying optical fiber port’s electronic information in the manageable Optical Distribution Network.
