With the development of Internet, online meal ordering is gradually becoming the new ordering method. Through the online meal ordering customers can easily see the menu display picture, the query to the price of food, to choose their own like the food after contrast, remain within doors will be able to enjoy the high quality service, it will become an important channel for hotel reservation online sales. In order to adapt the development of the online meal ordering service, research and design of online meal ordering management system has become an important research topic.This thesis mainly uses the method field research on catering enterprises online needs of business research, understand the characteristics of catering industry management, user needs, in the online meal ordering operation habit and so on, according to the research results in the formation of the functional modules of the system, according to the role to draw the use case diagram. In the system design stage, according to the function module designed in this paper, the order management, order management, menu management module are emphasized, the various modules of the operating process and realization method of analysis in detail, and the database structure of each module in the design. In the implementation stage, the main use of ASP.NET and database technology to realize the online meal ordering system, to complete the system functional requirements in this setting.After the completion of system design, we tested, the results show: the system can correctly add, delete, modify the database record, successful data operation system is given the data operation success tips; fill in the customer correct information can be entered into a database, information saved successfully; users access information, visit the information, sales data can be saved to the database; the latency and packet loss rate of the system performance test data also show that the system can meet the restaurant reservation number online customer demand. This shows that the ordering system designed in this thesis has been very good to complete the desired design goals. But this system is only realized the basic functions of a small restaurant online meal ordering, with the expansion of the restaurant scale, increase the number of online meal ordering and now people demand a high standard, diversification, the system also needs to improve further.Finally, we hope that through this study, to the catering enterprises to provide strong system support online meal ordering service, and effectively improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the restaurant online sales, to meet user demand for diversification of reservation, function more powerful, user experience similar degree system better play a role in learning and reference value.
