Social Interaction And Zou Taofen’s Political Views As A Journalist(1912-1937)

Zou Taofen as a Journalist in modern Chinese history is a famous news publishing. Throughout his life, he has his own independent personality and steadfast pursuit of progress. He also things the people as the starting point and the foothold of his own thoughts. The politics of newspaperman cannot be separated from the historical context of time. In the 1930s,Zou Taofen was actively campaigning for the country. He is always in the public’s position, hoping that the"industrial revitalization" can implement a "Clear political".The Public communication’impact on personal ideas is not the only one, but,as we all know,it is important. From the beginning of the 20th century to the 20th century 30s, Zou Taofen as a newspaperman had been affected on politics by the association which was composed of schools、newspapers and community.This article discussed the impact of politics for Zou Taofen that the public communication carried through the perspective of public communication, so as to summarize features of Zou’s politics.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part roughly summarized the basis of professional quality that required in his career and the politics that gradually precipitated in the era of education. At the beginning of the 20th century in the 1920 s, Zou Taofen had a news reporter dream which was formed during the school age in Nanyang public school and st. John’s university. At that time,he also learned the skills of writing and interviewing.Zou Taofen was also exposed to and affirmed the pragmatism of the United States.Affected by various salvation thoughts,he adhered to save country through education and combined the mission of intellectuals and the public. During The May 4th movement he had the chance to learn the Dewey’s pragmatism and understand it deeply. This made him study the actual problems under the influence of pragmatism claims, and he hoped to realize national revitalization by Reformism.The second part mainly analyzes how Zou Taofen could implement the public communication around publication in the context of newspapers and periodicals and how to form or to strengthen his political views in these exchanges. To editor "life weekly" was a big change in his career. Zou’s views had been grew clear around "life weekly"’s readers, editors,and its authors also. These couldn’t separated with Hushi’s politics. BiYunCheng and AiHanSong also played a important role on it. And, of course, Sun yat-sen’s three people’s principles and Dewey’s education thought had important relation with Zou’s views. Therefore, Zou’s politics changed from the Pragmatism and Reformism to advocated radical socialist revolution.The third part discusses the affects that the association in which Zou Taofen had joined carried on Zou’s politics. Zou’s communication within the community involved the historical context of the time. Under the pressure of the Anti-Japanese War, the intellectuals had their different choices on saving the nation. Zou Taofen took part in the Anti-Japanese association actively, and he called for the national people’s solidarity to resist invasion. Zou Taofen communication within the community affected not only by the members’enthusiastic heart of the saving the nation, but also their personality. In such a situation the politics of Members also influence each other. But the Seven Gentlemen incident in the National Salvation Association made them seven people together. This revolutionary friendship make this kind of influence was more far-reaching.In this field, Zou Taofen combined the newspaper business and corporate politics, actively publicizing the corporate politics.The fourth part sum up the characteristics of Zou’s politics in three different stages.The politics of Zou Taofen in schools, newspapers and associations had their relevance. Zou Taofen, as a part of the intellectuals, evaluated other people’s point of views and theory in his communication circle, and modified his own political views in the social practice, which produced certain response in reality under the special historical situation.
