Tip clearance in the process of aero engine assembly has a great influence on fuel consumption, efficiency and working life of the turbine engine and compressor. At present it is mostly measured by feeler gauge and probe, which not only has a low measuring accuracy, but also harmful to blade tip and the inner wall of the engine casing. In this paper, depending on the project application environment, an image measurement system is designed to measure the tip clearance when assembling.The following text mainly study the image algorithm and data analysis of the image measurement system, also a measurement software is designed. Firstly movement control device, CCD camera is adopted to capture image and complete the displacement calibration of camera. Then taking advantage of computer vision technology, image super-resolution reconstruction algorithm, an improved morphological edge detection algorithm, Hough transform, feature extraction and so on, we get the image distance from tip clearance, and acquire actual value of the tip clearance through a combination of calibration parameters.This paper firstly measurement the standard gauge block, which verify the feasibility of the image measurement system, and then experiment with experimental platform, which text accuracy within 0.02 mm, the result show that the system meet the requirement.Finally the error analysis and evaluation of uncertainty of measurement present here, for the disadvantage of the system’s application is not wide, some algorithms are devised for the system to extend application for measuring other geometric dimensioning.
