With intelligent building, intelligent home furnishing, and intelligent city having become an important topic which is the development of information technology in modern world. Video monitoring technology plays a vital role, so father development of video monitoring technology becomes particularly important. Further study of video monitoring technology is helpful to reduce the cost of the existing video monitoring system and change traditional video transmission mode to acpuire more flexible network mode and provide more intelligent living conditions. Choosing video monitoring system as our research subject is not only theoretical significant for existing video monitoring applying, but also lay the practice foundation for further exploitation of video monitoring system.With the development of intelligent home furnishing, family video monitoring system is increasingly minimized and installation is increasingly. Therefore, the paper regards ARM development board as core components for data collection and coding compression and transmission, and it adopts ordinary wireless router as transmission intermediary and uses Android mobile phone as terminal display platform, through which can finish a mini real-time network video monitoring system.This paper mainly uses existing video monitoring technology and realizes video monitoring system on the basis to modern technology design. Firstly, the paper designs overall construction of the real-time network video monitoring system, and then chooses appropriate CODEC program and vode data transmission program according to existing CODEC standard and transport protocol. Then the paper concentrates on video data flow to design and realize driver program frame work design in Linux Kernel, this part mainly concludes design driver framework according to camera hardware theory and interface protocol, and realize camera diver program according to driver framework and data sheet, transplant the Wifi driver into the Linux kernel according to Wifi type and USB protocol. This part of video coding mainly concludes transplant X264 encoding library, convert the format of YUV video data according to requirements of X264 source code library and coding the video data according to API of X264 encoding library. Wireless transmission of video data, this part mainly concludes the design of the wireless transmission process which is based on the RTP, complete the RTP slicing algorithm and combine package, and realize the STA function of the Wifi. Realizing the client mainly concludes design program structure, receive the data packet and reorder the data packet, transplant the ffmpeg library into the Android platform. Finally, verifying real-timenetwork video monitoring system by the hardware platform, display the monitor screen by the client, and the expected results are validated. This paper involves the knowledge of computer, communication and electronic technology, this affords a certain degree of the theoretical knowledge use into the actual application.This paper proposes the scheme of the video data transmission by the Wifi wireless to access the network, and ultimately achieves the requirements of the video monitor screen displayed on the client, this study will provide a further theoretical reference for further wireless of video monitoring system.
