Design And Implementation Of The Tooth Image Capturing System In Computer-assisted Colorimetry

With the continuous improvement of living standards, people require not only functional recovery on the porcelain. Oral physician try to get more close to the natural teeth porcelain teeth. Clinically, the scorching porcelain tooth color selection relies mainly on the dental practitioner with visual perception selection of shade guide with the teeth of the patient of the color matching color model. The color selection by the physician has bad effect according to individual differences and ambient illumination, so the researchers committed to the use of machine vision technology to realize the computer aided physicians choose color.Through the investigation of dental colorimeter’s development history and its fu-nction, this paper designs a set of computer aided in strument than color collection system, discussing the correspinding control and annlysising software realization process. First, using AVR MCU and STM32MCU to design a system that collect and transport the tooth image to the PC, then discuss the deffernt bettwen the two design; last it introduce s how to realize image display, image storage, image transmission. In this paper, the major work is as follows.Analysis the dental colorimeter acquisition subsystem, and through comparison the control system select the appropriate image acquisition, storage, transmission and control system.Design software to realize the image collecting system. Also UCGUI, FATFS file system are transplanted, and realize image acquisition start, storage control functions, transport the image to PC through USB.Preprocess the image. In the Matlab environment design and realize the teeth image pretreatment software. According to the captured image’s unique features, we separated the teeth from the background, according to each part of the tooth color contrast different importance, put forward squares weighted to get the tooth datas.Make the teeth sample library. This paper uses clinical widely used Vita3D Mas- ter dental shade, through the designing image collect system make a large of sample library.On matlab platform, we conduct the teeth image’s classification test, the experi-mental results show that the collected image is expected.In the end, the whole work of this paper is summarized and the future work is p1-anned.
