A Wireless Local Area Network for protocol 802.11B realization is researched and developed based on embeded ARM processor PXA270 in this paper, while the problems of the image measuring error causing influence to the teeth mold quality testing in the process of teeth images acquisition and transmission. It is convenient for dentist and technician tailoring tooth mold to modify or design interactively against the tooth image measuring error by using this device. It can enhance the tooth repair efficiency and diagnosing and treating quality.In this paper, we mainly focused on the design and the implement of the hardware platform of the mobile terminal device in an embeded local area network. Firstly, the overall concept design which oral cavity tooth mold image gathering and transmission based on the embedded ARM has completed via massive literature reading and the clinical work on tooth repair investigation. Secondly, the hardware electric circuit schematic diagram is designed and the PCB is made. Thirdly, the second development for established hardware circuit is completed with the Windows CE operating system. Finally, the application software for wireless transmission of the tooth mold image data is developed under the EVC development platform.To acquire the teeth model images, a camera (with driver under Windows CE) with CF interface produced by Lifeview Company was used in the system we designed. Then a wireless network card (by Z-COM Company) based on 802.11b with CF interface was applied to transmit the images acquired to the computers on the local area network. After modified and processed by the dentists, the images were transmitted back to the teeth mold plant equipped with the mobile terminal devices by a wireless router. In this way, it is able to modify and design the teeth mold mutually between the dentists and the artificers.In the end, the research and development of the thesis achieve a wireless bureau area net of the agreement of 802.11 B by a built-in chip PXA270 of the ARM processor . Besides we make an actual production, installation ,debuging and performance test.It basically attain the research purpose for the mouth cavity doctor and tooth mold make technician's to carry out a type of mutually modification or design with the teeth mold picture measure data .
