With the development of modern communication technology, a variety of communication networks appeared. At the same time, people pay more and more attention to the quality and safety problems of communication. Frequency hopping communication technology arises at the historic moment, with the good secrecy performance and strong anti-jamming capability, it has been widely used in military and civilian communications. In the pratical application, software radio technology is very popular, the SDR technology merged into the frequency hopping communication has become a popular trend, it can enhance the performance of frequency hopping communication.This paper has designed a frequency hopping transceiver with the function of adaptive modulation and coding. The paper is mainly divided into three aspects. Firstly, introduced the basic framework of FH communication, completed the FPGA implementation of all signal processing module, and showed the figure of Matlab simulation and actual test results. The second part is the design and implementation of the modem function, including GMSK and π/4-DQPSK, and adaptive modulation and coding technology is introduced into the basic system. Finally the paper introduced the design of the synchronous technology, including the net coarse synchronization, RTT calibration and frequency hopping synchronization. We focused on the design of RTT synchronization, completed the implementadion in FPGA and DSP.
