Optimization Of CDMA20001X Network

The third generation mobile communication system has large investment, highdifficulty, long construction period, so the network planning is particularly important.Thethird generation mobile communication system mainly has three kinds of wirelesscommunication standard, namely WCDMA, CDMA2000and TD-SCDMA. As one of the3G standards, CDMA2000is a development and evolution of CDMA technology.CDMA20001x system can provide voice and data services of certain rate.This paper briefly introduces the evolution and development of CDMA2000technology, studies the EV-DO wireless system structure and the main functions of themodules. This paper puts emphasis on EV-DO wireless network planning and networkconstruction scheme. Based on the present construction situation of China UnicomCDMA20001x system, and the network planning and construction goal of the EV-DO,propagation model, link budget, network coverage and capacity are analyzed, and theEV-DO link budget reference model and capacity formula are presented. Then according tothe network construction requirements, the test specification for EV-DO wireless networkis given. Finally, the EV-DO experimental network construction and test results areintroduced.
