While entertainment prevails in the worldwide, several television stations bring in theformats of foreign mature entertainment programs in succession. However, not all programsfrom foreign countries can achieve success. Mismatches of formats, inadaptation of valuesand even misadjustment of ideology may be the reasons of unsuccessful entertainment TVshows. Therefore, reforming the imported programs to be localized is the key to develop theindustry of television.This paper is based on the Chinese most famous and highly rated entertainment TVshows the Voice of China and compares each with original programs The Voice ofHolland.This paper uses empirical research method to analyze how to reform importedentertainment TV shows to be localized.This paper includes five parts.The introduction mainly talks about the reason andsignificance of this research by the combing the national and international literatures andanalyzing the background of the research. Meanwhile,this paper explains the format of TVshows and localization in further.The second part is to select samples and design indicators,illustrate the reasons and methods used to select samples and specific project and foundationto design indicators.The third part is to analyze the datum. It uses indicators to find the reformof the format of the imported television program and conclude the results.The fourth part isconclusion. This paper finds the localization strategies by analyzing the samples andcomparing the formats of domestic entertainment TV shows with those of foreigncountries.The last part isstudy suggests, based on the index statistics and conclusion analysisof the introduction of the localization of TV entertainment programs template Suggestions,risen from particularity to universality.
