Study On Hollow-core Photonic Crystal Fiber Terahertz Evanescent Wave Sensor In Drug Detection

Photonic crystal fiber is a micro-structure optical fiber having unique structure, which isthe fiber of a porous structure.So it can be flexible to change hole size,spacing,arrangementand hole shape to change the transmission properties of photonic crystal fiber.Using thevariability of the photonic crystal fiber structure and characteristics of the holes, combiningwith the principle of evanescent wave,which can be used in the sensing detection. This papermainly studies the transport properties of three different structure of PCF terahertz evanescentwave sensor in drug testing.The main contents of this paper:The principle of evanescent wave is briefly introduced, explain the evanescent wave canbe applied on material testing. In the THz wave band, through the PCF to test drugs, andanalyzing the sensitivity performance of drug detection.Introduces filling the detected object in the a layer air hole of hollow-core PCF and it istransmission mechanism is still total internal refractive. So that we can use evanescent waveto detect. First, using the Rsoft software to simulate the transmission stiuation of hollow-corePCF in the THz band, to find the structural parameters in we need frequency band; and then tocompute the design parameter characteristics of the structure by using comsol software, suchas the effective refractive index, effective mode area, sensitivity and limit the loss. Parameterchanges with frequency to judge whether the structurecan be used todetect drugs.Using finite element comsolsoftware to simulate the solid-core PCF terahertz evanescentwave sensor in drug detection, such as the mode of transmission, the relative sensitivity, andso on,all parameters changed with frequency. And compared with the hollow-core PCFevanescent wave sensors.Describes the use of comsol software to simulate the feature of different center hore ofthe dual-core PCF terahertz evanescent wave sensor in drug detection,also studied thetransmission characteristics of dual-core PCF which is filled different analytes.
