13.56MHz RFID technology is mainly used in non-contact areas. Thistechnology is in the application stage, but its distance is rather close. In order toincrease the management speed, remote reader with high-sensitivity is required. ByISO/IEC14443protocol standard, effective reading distance is10cm and less, whileby ISO/IEC15693protocol standard it becames1m and less. This paper is for thepractical application of13.56MHz RFID technology. By the comparative analysisof the IS0/IEC15693and ISO/IEC14443protocol, a high-sensitivity remote reader isdesigned.RFID reader includes software and hardware. Hardware includes antenna, receiving part, transmission part, and MCU. STC11F05E is chosen as the MCU.The transmission part includes power amplifier circuits and matching circuits.Linearly amplified RF signals will generate field strength, which can activate tags. The maximum output of the amplifier can reach25W. Matching circuit is alsodesigned, which makes the output of the transmission part to be50. Receiving partof the reader includes filter, detection circuit and amplifier and so on. System’soverall software and transceiver module is also designed. This paper designed a PCBloop antenna. The results prove that the antenna VSWR is less than1.2, bandwidthis greater than2MHz, Q=14.The antenna meets the system’s requirements. The system improves to be a sensitive reader with a reading distance of40cm,which provide technical supports for the access control system and large conferencemanagement.
