Wireless sensor network which attracts a lot attention from people all over theworld,is an emerging technology.Besides,it has a great change and influence about theway of the people’s life and a revolution result of information perception andacquisition. Sensor networks as "tentacles" generally exists in the survival of thehuman environment.It can work in the region where it is difficult to approach anddifficult to finish the task by human body.Research of the frontier technology has tomake in our country.Since depth research in this field in foreign countries is ahead ofour country greatly.It will have a profound influence about the future of human lifeand the economic development and social progress.In our country,it is widely used insmart home,medical services, intelligent transportation,environmental monitoring,mili-tary defense,earthquake relief and other fields.Let the development and current situat-ion of each area have new breakthrough.This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of wireless sensor networksink node based on FPGA.It dedicated to the exploration of wireless sensor networktechnology in the application of environmental monitoring,smart community and smart world. With reference to the data acquisition experience of traditional sink node,andwith the rapid development of the wireless communication GPRS communication net-work, in the application background of the big data times and convenient mobiletimes.It raised a design scheme about wireless sensor network sink node based on FP-GA platform.It changed the traditional way to access external network.It is the wire inthe past.Now,it is the GPRS.In that case,it improved the deployment flexibility andsaved the cost of deployment.It build SOPC hardware platform system. The Zigbee module and the GPRSmodule is connected on the ip core from Microblaze kernel of FPGA.Transplanted thecutted petalinux system to provide driver of peripheral port and management forFPGA chip,such as GPIO and UART. Using the erasable programme characteristic ofFPGA to control the data forwarding between wireless sensor network and GPRSnetwork. With a temperature sensor as an example,The design successfully achievedthat temperature is collected by self-organized wireless sensor network from acollection node transmits data to the coordinator node.The data will transmit to FPGAchip to analysis through serial port.If the temperature exceeds the set temperature value,the FPGA chip will send text messages to the specified users,if more than thewarning value of temperature directly dial the telephone.
