Under the environment of reform and development, the layout of the omnimediahas become prevalent. And news planning plays a significant role in the strategy ofomnimedia. News planning of omnimedia is based on the competition among media,it could realize complementary strengths, build a matrix of news planning inomnimedia report, develop the brand effect, comply with the trend of networking andexpand the influence of media by transforming the traditional media to omnimediaplanning. Also, the news planning of omnimedia is based on the maximum ofspreading which including both specific diffuse and social macro condition. From theperspective of audiences, the news planning effectively satisfies their needs ofcombining the sense of reading, watching and listening while accepting news. Whatdiffers omnimedia from traditional news planning is the connotation of omnimediaappearing more abundant for its applying of expressions including paper, picture,broadcasting and television reports, internet news and news application.This paper aims to discuss the significance of implementing news planning in theview of omnimedia through analyzing the concept, feature and connotation ofomnimedia and news planning; and to introduce specific implementing planningapproaches of topic-selected, interviewing and text from the angle of omnimedia; tosketch the requirements of news planning in the omnimedia. Hoping that this papercould offer some guidance of relevant news practice.
