Cannot predict the rapid changes in the buyer’s market of the strong demand for products,the traditional mode of production in response to the ability of the market is relatively slowand passive. The main methods to solve the problem is to shorten the product developmentcycle, production cycle and the replacement cycle for quick response to the market and theneeds of users. In recent years, extensive use of the rapid development of computertechnology and CAD/CAM technology, for the development of rapid prototyping technologyhas laid a solid foundation and provide a broad platform. So the rapid prototyping technologyto change the traditional way of processing and production technology, has become animportant trend in the development of manufacturing industry.Rapid prototyping technology is a kind of contrary to the traditional processingtechnique. It began in twentieth Century80later periods. It is a discrete superpositionprinciple based on the layer by layer manufacturing process based on the accumulation ofmaterial forming. this technology has high Integration, high flexibility and high speed, fastproduction speed, ease of use, high molding process no pollution etc. which is more suitablefor China’s market demand.Rapid prototyping system is composed of software and hardware system of rapidprototyping. Among them, the software system as the core of the rapid prototypingtechnology has been studied by scholars at home and abroad. The rapid prototyping softwaresystem mainly includes the model visualization,3D model slicing functions. However, thecurrent research on the key technology of the rapid prototyping software system is still notperfect. For example, Convert the file conversion will exist approximation accuracy errorinfluence the final molding parts, leading to mechanical parts forming the dimension error.Three dimensional model slicing has many hierarchical algorithm, but whether in thehierarchical precision and applicability of algorithm, has not been a perfect algorithm. Afterthe research on the key technology of rapid prototyping software system at home and abroadand the related algorithm, aiming at the existing problems in the rapid prototyping softwaresystem, determine the research topic goal Research and development of software system formachine parts rapid prototyping. The rapid prototyping software system of this project is to research and development forthe rapid prototyping of mechanical parts. In the whole process of system development,continue to improve and perfect the existing problems of the rapid prototyping softwaresystem. The system mainly realize the following functions.(1)The development of software based on open source platform, through research anddevelopment of rapid prototyping software system to realize the3D model of mechanical partrealistic display function;(2)Based on existing hierarchical algorithm this paper proposed slicing algorithmbased on index relationship, realize the slicing three-dimensional model of the function, andthe function is verified by experiment;(3)Rapid prototyping part exist size error, the principle of error is difficult to solve, beavoided by proposed method; A method is proposed to increase the accuracy that influenced bythe approximate error, the method is that the least square method is adopted to fit the outline oftwo-dimensional graphic obtained by layering in the structure which has high precisionrequirements, then the model can be local redefined and the accuracy of mechanical part can beimproved.(4)In order to improve the performance of the software system and hardware system,software system is built with the NC machining data required for rapid prototyping equipmentfor the database, realize data sharing.
