Great changes have recently taken place in the manufacturing market: on the one hand the customer requires personality and individuality; on the other hand the area ramparts have been broken or destroyed and it makes the manufacturer attach importance to the world market competition. Rapid tooling technology based on rapid prototyping manufacture is applied to the sample manufacture of new products and products with middle or small batch production. It can compress time to market for new products, reduce the cost of research and make more benefit for manufacturer.It is common that the equipment of RP is not full used and the ratio of RT product's waster is high in our country. The combination of CAD/CAE with RPM/RT can make the design of RT more suitable, which is important for shortening the cycle of product development, reducing the costs of the product development and guaranteeing the quality of products. This dissertation introduces the application of the simulation of rapid tooling injection molding using an example of a mobile phone and its clamp. The following is the main contents of the dissertation:1. Analyse the process of the low-pressure reaction injection molding for rapid tooling, and summarize the quality fish-bone diagram through the lifecycle of product.2. Combine the CAD/CAM with RP/RT. Simulate the process of injection with rapid tooling, optimize the parameters of the injection, forecast the situation of the drawback, which enhances the ratio of the finished product. Provide the concurrent support for rapid tooling, which shortens the time of putting the product into the markets by this way.3. Carry out experiment with low-pressure injection molding, analyse the factors which affect the ratio of the waster, and validate the simulation.4. Describe the model of rapid tooling virtual company based on internet, which turns it into reality for designing, producing and exchanging in different areas. The virtual company based on internet and intranet extends the enterprises to world wide, and realizes the flexible combination and division of the enterprises, enhances the concept of enterprises to a new level.
