Research On Generation And Its Role Of Rumors In The Collective Movement In The Network

With the development of society, the deep contradictions are revealed gradually, our society has entered a crucial period of reform in difficult areas, but also entered a high risk period of social group conflict ridden. With the rapid expansion of Internet users and the continued warming of social interaction platforms, social public interest demands and express network quickly showed it is a rapidly emerging trend that more and more people express their social public interest demands in network. It has become a normal state that the group events and network embedded in each other, which developed a new form, the network mass incidents, which has aroused celebrities in society and academic circles pay attention to extensively. Many domestic and foreign scholars have also tried to explore, from different perspectives, the concept, types, causes, mechanism, pattern, and Counter Measures of these mass incidents. After a survey, found that few researchers pays attention to non-actors phenomenon of network group incidents combined with the realistic background, especially the excavation for rumors that almost never absent and plays a very important role. The literatures involved in, also has some obvious defects, reflected in two aspects:first, they not place rumors into specific mass incidents to explore its uniqueness; second, there is no specific studies from the front, analyze the specific impact of the presence of the rumors on the network group events.In accordance with this situation, we this paper innovatively implies Pierre Bourdieu’s "field-habitus" theory as a tool to analyze rumors in mass incidents in the internet. And we picked the "substitute" rumors in Drag racing in Hangzhou and the rumors in the train crash in Wenzhou as the case analysis of sources of material evidence. According to the literatures and the result of the cases analysis above, using theoretical and empirical analysis method, the research draws the following conclusions. First, the rumors of the network group events are generated in the field. Social transition and the development of protest field molded habitus, and integration of the domain of networking group concentration field, which together lead to product a new order. This reproduction paralyzed the self-purification capacity of the network language market, leading to Information mutation, false information disseminated. Alienated Field had to be converted into an abnormal Field, forging three mechanisms, namely concentrating storm and Information waterfall, group polarization, and biased absorption. Second, the uniqueness of rumors which generated in the field:rumors rooted in deep social conflicts, is a process constructed mutually with social structure; the process of rumors’generation is also a’collective transaction’among the various forces in the field; rumor is a collection containing authentic ingredients, which reflects the true aspirations of those present; the opinion leaders play important roles; the content and operation of rumors along with many good tactics. Third, rumors have an effect on the network mass incidents by the following ways:dissimilate language information trading market and verbal behavior practices; make group polarization, change the structure of relations between the position occupied by various powers in the field; collect resources, promote the conversion of capital relations; shape the discourse, re-shape the field, curing those twisted habitus and strategy.Rumors generated constantly in the field become a common phenomenon, which caused a huge impact on it, even on the two key elements of Field of operation constitutes a subversive challenge. Indeed, they raised a subversive challenge to the two key elements of Field operation. First, the symbolic power of government has been weakened, the structure of capital is unbalanced. Second, the good position is threatened, government has narrow room for maneuver, its interests is also to be damaged. According to the mechanism of rumors and the challenges faced by the government, this paper puts forward three countermeasures:first, from the perspective of Field theory:change concepts, treat rumors correctly; second get correction and collaboration within the rules in field, regulate the order of language market; third, assist vulnerable groups in society to enhance the capital, guide to shape the scientific habitus.
