Research Of Android Smart Phone Desktop’s Information Design

In recent years, with the mobile phones people use come to be smart and sending shortmessages and making telephone calls are no longer the main functions of the mobile phone.Smart phone can handle a lot of tasks that usually was handled only by computer in the pastand run smoothly, because just like the computer, smart phone has an independent operatingsystem and can install third-party applications in the same system. In order to manage theseapplications and classify its information, smart phone needs to have the same portal andmanagement platform as the computer desktop, so smart phone desktop emerges at thehistoric moment.On the other hand, with the emergence and gradual popularization of thecomputer, information has a more and more important influence on the society since1969. Inobjective aspects, the amount, dissemination and processing speed and application level ofinformation increase in the geometrical progression. In subjective aspects, people receivethousands of information every day and need to quickly learn and absorb the effectiveingredients and distinguish the stand or fall of information, which proposes a new challengefor people to learn, master and use information. On this basis emerges the information design.In short, information design means to organize information in a way of design and includesthe classification and performance of information, aiming to deliver effective information. Itis also called the information visualization or data visualization. The information designmakes complex information clear and easy to understand, allowing people to accept and applyquickly.Smart phone with android operation system, whose desktop is a complex data entry, is acategory of smart phones. Only through its desktop can users enter all kinds of applicationsoftware inside the mobile phone and interact with them. What’s more, in the process whenusers manipulate the desktop, the information people have access to is constantly changingand the changing information need to design carefully to ensure that users have goodexperience in the process of obtaining information. But so far, most applications of theinformation design are still in the areas of the graphic design such as statistical charts,advertising system and so on, designing for static information. In terms of interaction designand users’ experience, information design is just in its infancy and relevant researches andpractices at home and abroad are still few.The research applies the theories and methods of the information design in the desktopdesign of Android smart phones and designs for the changing information, aiming to make adesign guidance for the information portal of mobile phone desktop with the scientific methodand expand the application scope of information design. According to the process of userexperience design, the research divides information design into three phrases, namely information architecture, flow and transmission and respectively analyze and discuss theinformation design methods of Android smart phone desktop in the phases of structurebuilding, interaction design and visual design and deepen and verify the methods in practicedesign.
