With the birth of wireless upgrade technology,the user can download the system updating package to the local mobile phone through the air download technology(Over The Air Technology,OTA),and repair phone problems through the wireless upgrade function when encountering software problems.There are two ways to upgrade the mobile phone system,one is incremental upgrade which only upgrades the difference between the current version and new version,but it only upgrades a version;the other is an all-inclusive upgrade which updates the system to the latest version through only once updating,but the upgrade package is large and the user data will be erased.A low version phone which is to update to the latest version can choose to make multiple incremental upgrades or choose all-inclusive upgrade which will lead to the loss of data.The upgrading of the smart phone based on the Android platform is studied in this paper,the problem that smart phone system updates from lower version to the latest version can be better solved in this paper.Through the research and discussion on the online upgrade method at the present stage,a new online upgrade scheme for smart phone based on Android platform is put forwarded which can reduce the times that user update the system to the latest version.This scheme supports the OTA client to test and download multiple OTA upgrade packages according to the current terminal version through the sever-side control policy,then upgrade the OTA packages which is downloaded to the terminal without restarting the device through the recovery.The terminal restarts only when the upgrade is completed,and the user can upgrade to a newer version without performing multiple upgrades.At the same time,in the realization of multi-pack continuous upgrade,the study also improves the existing upgrade mechanism.For large version updating is usually accompanied by the situation that application data is not compatible.And the user data will be erased while updating,the paper designs the function of backuping and restoring data to avoid it.And in order to improve the security of the upgrade it proposed a recovery mechanism which can effectively reduce the brushing into of other upgrade packages.Finally,the feasibility of this scheme is verified by the actual test,and this scheme will play a very good role in the research and implementation of this function.
