With the rapid development of IP network, more and more people have the habit of using IP network to do all the things, the current IP network has been completely dominates the Internet, according to this form of development continues, future television transmission network, telephone exchange network will inevitably be replaced by IP network. Data, video, voice integration as one is already represent the general trend, business integration task by IP network bear seems to be logical, IP network to undertake this task is one of the foundation to realize flow control and service quality assurance. How to let the IP network has this ability? This calls for bandwidth, delay requirements and other relevant issues in-depth research and analysis, and according to various business technology characteristics and importance of the artificial distinction, in make full use of network bandwidth resources and the node on the basis of resources, to find a proper solution. From the current technical development, the MPLS traffic engineering and QoS services combining network flow control technology is the IP network to realize this goal the most effective solution.MPLS traffic engineering and QoS services technology has developed for more than ten years, but the real network application case are still very limited. This phenomenon of the real difficulty is how to network to effectively design and deployment flow control engineering. MPLS traffic engineering is the new network flow control technology, the use of such technology is generally in the backbone network, from the access network and the home network play almost no; QoS service is required from the user access network began to design and deploy, and then gradually extended to the core of the network. Therefore, to the two flow control technology together, at the same time to service differentiated service function and cyber source utilization to maximize the effect, will be the focus of the study.First of all, this paper studied the IP network flow control techniques, including policy routing and ECMP etc, points out the technical application scenes and limitations. Then a careful study of the IETF proposed InterSer model and Diffser model, and discusses the ATM/IP network traffic engineering model. And more than three kinds of models are analyzed and discussed, pointing out that the development of technology of the respective functions and with the development of network gradually losing applicability. Then, the research of DiffSer model and MPLS traffic engineering based on different characteristics, in IP network is proposed to control the flow model, the model will be the most common carrier network is divided into two or more than two layers combination, this several levels respectively by VLAN-DS, IP-DS, MPLS TE-DS composition. The three flow control domain mapping to different network topology hierarchy, which makes the original complex access network, metropolitan area network and backbone network flow control forming an organic whole, effectively solves the problem of end-to-end flow control. The model for network design and deployment flow control provides a feasible train of thought and method.Finally, the author will the flow control model in Hunan radio and television IP bearer network upgrade project, in the analysis of Hunan radio and television IP bearing online business network based on different needs, design of Hunan radio and television IP bearer network flow control engineering, including the Qos service planning, access network, core network and hierarchical control method in the backbone network traffic load balance solution, and the implementation of traffic control project of video on demand service data flow service quality before and not before the implementation of the service quality were compared, the results show that, the proposed method can effectively control the network traffic, reasonable allocation of cyber source, in a carrier network optimization project and achieved good effect.In conclusion, the author from the solution to the current IP network flow control of the challenges faced by, for the current IP network flow control engineering and implementation of differentiated services and technology related issues, conducted a systematic and thorough research, the entire research process, the author is to solve practical problems spent a lot of effort, finally put forward an effective hierarchical network flow control model, and through the engineering practice and test, results show that:the establishment of the network flow control model based on IP bearer network will be the realization of voice, data, video three net fusion is one of the effective solutions.
