Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a fixed and structure network in the absence of environmental self-organizing wireless mobile networks, It has many advantages, it is very widespread network applications. And at the same time it has a lot of problems, such as limited bandwidth and energy make the node premature death; infinite topology change will bring more routing overhead and latency, as well as security issues can not be ignored. so the research of mobile Ad Hoc network routing protocol has become one of the hot domestic and international network research. This article describes the mobile Ad Hoc network routing protocols, and describes one of the most widely used routing protocols in detail-AODV routing protocol, while two aspects of the inadequacies of the AODV routing protocol improvements. On the one hand, Amend the original RREQ to add routes to total energy flags into the route discovery phase, modify the original RREP to add backup route flag, and set the energy threshold for a single node, The node is not used when the remaining energy of a node is below this threshold, thus effectively improve the network application time and prolong the life of the network. On the other hand, in the routing stage, modify the existing routing table, add the next two-hop flag routed through three ways to repair, which is a new method of local repair and restoration of combining the source node. This article uses the popular network simulator (NS2) to emulate for the existing AODV routing protocol and the improved routing protocol, change the maximum number of connections, maximum speed and stop time of the three parameters of the nodes on the packet delivery, ratio conditions, the average end delay, to check the routing protocols. Obtain the average drawn into the image after several tests, which visually observes That three performance have been significantly improved.
