With the rapid development of our economy, calcium carbide industry, which relieson the resource advantage and the progress of science and technology, opened a newchapter, but the overall automation level is not high, the energy waste andpollution of calcium carbide furnace cannot be effectively solved, in order to improve theproduction efficiency, and reduce labor intensity and pollution emission, it is technicaltransformation and innovation of automatic control system of calcium carbide furnaceelectrode that has a far-reaching significance to improve the production level of calciumcarbide furnace.This paper bases on researching and reconstructing a calcium carbide plant of calciumcarbide furnace electrode automatic control in Erdos, the calcium carbide factory adopts25000KVA calcium carbide furnace and the hydraulic control system which Jin zhong Yuci sanding hydraulic manufacturing Co. made.In this paper, comparing the constant voltage method, the constant power method andthe constant current method, and considering the practical production, the electrode controlstrategy determined to use the constant current method, because this method is sensitive,which has stable calcium carbide furnace power and the higher quality of calciumcarbide. At the same time, this paper puts forward the fuzzy PID algorithm to achievethe electrode lifting control system, where we use MATLAB\Simulink to model andsimulate, we compares the response time, stability and anti-jamming ability of the controlsystems which adopted conventional PID algorithm or fuzzy PID algorithm, the resultsshowed fuzzy PID algorithm had advantages, and then uses the embedded control systemto design and debug the software and hardware, which applies successfully fuzzy PIDalgorithm to the electrode control of the calcium carbide stove.Electrode calcium carbide furnace automatic control system is implementedsuccessfully through the embedded technology and the computer technology, whichincludes the data acquisition and processing, the main controller, monitoring equipment,hydraulic control system and so on, among which the data acquisition and processing usesYD2200electric power test instrument for signal processing, and then the processed singalis passed to the ADC controller by the conditioning circuit; the main controller adopts theembedded micro controller LPC2378, which can communicate through Ethernet and PC,comparing the data acquired back with the given parameter, then the controller passes thedeviation to the fuzzy PID algorithm processor, whose output control the electrode lifting;uses Labwindows/CVI software as monitoring system, which can implement real-time datamonitoring, data storage and picture update of the automatic electrode control system.
