Nowadays, the rapid development of media and digital multimedia technology has notonly accelerated the blossom of new network media, but also built a brand-new platform forvisual culture communication. The combination of network media and visual culture hasbrought various changes in forms and contents, and its role in network visual culturecommunication can’t be matched by any other traditional media. Thus, this paper takes thecommunication effects of network visual culture as research object. The research is carried onin the following two aspects. Firstly, the network visual culture communication has broughtpositive impacts to the audience and society, and the impacts are stated in details with analysisof the characteristics of network visual culture communication and its background. Secondly,the existing problems in communication process are discussed and some concrete suggestionsare proposed according to the conclusions above.This paper focuses on analysis of the negative impacts of the current visual culturecommunication based on the internet. The research aims to make the audience aware of theconvenience brought by network visual culture communication as well as the great potentialculture crises. This research also wants to present the influence on people’s reading mode anddeep spiritual state brought by the supreme visual culture communication, harms to theaudience, creators and the whole society caused by vulgar or tortious network visual culturecommunication. At last, it is suggested that the government, media and audience should workhard together to improve the positive impacts of network visual culture communication basedon the existing problems. This study is also significant in promoting the communicationeffects of network visual culture, people’s rational cognition of media and construction ofscientific media literacy.
