The Research Of Social Exclusion Of Community Correction Objects

With the development of human civilization, people pay more attention to protect human rights and humanitarian. Meanwhile, the system of humanization of penalty was gradually improved. As a system of imprisonment, community correction was originated from Europe and the United States. Compared with traditional imprisonment, community correction system is more in line with the concept of political civilization in modern society. Community correction objects receive correction in the community, they are connected with the society. It is beneficial to the community correction objects return to society smoothly. However, the investigation discovered that community correction objects are excluded in different areas. It is mainly because of the influence of traditional concepts and other factors.This paper is based on the theory of social support. Its comprehensive use of documents and interviews explores the social exclusion problems of the community correction objects. It includes six parts:The first part is introduction. It mainly introduces research background, purpose, research significance, literature review, concept definition, theoretical basis and research method.The second part is present situation about the social exclusion of community correction objects. The investigation discovered that the social exclusion of community correction objects are mainly concentrated on four aspects. Interpersonal rejection is the community correction objects are rejected by their family members and other members of society; Economic exclusion reflects on four aspects:scarce employment opportunities, formal employment rate is low, low-skilled jobs and low wages. Social policy exclusion is the partial rights deprived and due rights are not exercised. On one hand, it leads to the influence of social decision is low; On the other hand, social security exclusion mainly refers to community correction objects are excluded from social security system and social salvation system. They can not get the legal protection.The third part analyzes the reasons of the social exclusion of community correction objects. In general, personal reasons, community members’misconceptions about correction objects and some institutional regulations cause the correction objects to be excluded.The fourth part elaborates the adverse consequences of social exclusion which the community correction objects suffer. Social exclusion goes against the social inclusion and resocialization of community correction objects. It leads to the deviation of correct target. Meanwhile, it is not conducive to the realization of social justice. It will be detrimental to social stability and the construction of harmonious society.The fifth part proposes some corresponding countermeasures on the basis of problems of social exclusion of community correction offenders. Firstly, social workers strengthen the intervention of community correction objects social exclusion by using the method of case work, group work and community work. Secondly, community correction objects should reinforce the skills training and improve their ability. Thirdly, we should provide emotional support for community correction objects. Fourthly, the society should provide more positive reports about community correction and offenders so that people change their discrimination against to the community correction objects. The government should perfect the social security policies of correction objects.The sixth part is conclusion. It mainly summarizes the conclusions and innovation and inadequacies of this article.
