With the development of technology and society, almost everyone in China has one mobile phone, even more than one. Meanwhile, with the development of 3G and 4G mobile network and the incoming era of smart phone, the mobile phone has increasing number of functions. Therefore, applications of the mobile phone increase rapidly as well.The mobile phone has became a new type of media. Under the new mobile media environment, the mobile phone has brought new opportunity of development for the educational reform. However, it is also a big challenge for the class management in secondary vocational schools. The informational communication between students has become much more convenient and diversified, which makes the homeroom teachers more difficult to know students’ thoughts in time. So the class management becomes more difficult as well. Under the new mobile media environment,homeroom teachers in secondary vocational schools should work out effective class management strategies to help students in secondary vocational schools to grow healthily both physically and psychologically.Beginning with current situation of the usage of mobile phone in Suzhou Art School,the article integrates the circumstances that teachers and students take advantage of mobile media to involve in class management, compares with traditional secondary vocational schools by investigating, researching documents,interviewing and summing up experiences,finds out new characteristics and challenges showed in class management in secondary vocational schools under the new mobile media environment. In the end, it’s hoped to seek out coping methods and strategies for class management.
