Ideological and political education is a multi-level and dynamic process, not an isolatedstatic. Ideological and political education of the post-90s college students should be based onthe needs of students, advancing with the times, constantly improving its effectiveness. SinceChina’s reform and opening up, with the rapid development of our social economy and thespread of western consumer culture, consumption problem has become one of the hottestsocial concerns. The basic content of consumption and the ideological and political educationof college students are closely linked. Study on the view of consumer content includes notonly economic issues, also includes the outlook on life, the values in the field of ideologicalproblems. The post-90s college students were born in the era of material richness, Most ofthem is the only child in the family. Compared with the post-80s college students, they have ahigher quality of educational background and more open and more active thinking. They arecurious about new things and willing to accept them. College students are a special consumergroups. College students have restless consumer psychology. Since their outlooks on life andvalues are not fully mature, so they have many unscientific behaviors about consumption. Inorder to make students form healthy consumption habits, educators in colleges anduniversities should be timely with reasonable approach to educate and guide the consumptionof college students. However most of the current our country university haven’t courses abouteducation of college students’ consumption view. Even if it does, it dose mostly for studentsmajoring in economic field.For personal consumption is under the influence of their consumption cultureenvironment, so in this paper I firstly introduce the evolutional procession of Chinese andwestern consumption culture, and define the concept of consumption. Then I make thequestionnaire survey on the basis of the consumption status of the post-90s college students,and analyze the college students’ consumption view of error, and then discuss the causes oferror. Finally, from the perspective of ideological and political education, I explicate theconsumption educational content and educational principles. And connecting with the practice,from the perspective of school, family and society, I proposed the specific measures on thepost-90s students’ view of consumption.
