As the backbone of the future society, college students’ growth and development has always been the concern of all aspects of society. However, the contemporary college students’ ideological and political status has been deviated from the social expectations and suffered from controversy in following aspects:political faith, patriotic emotion, social morality, concept of value, interpersonal relationship. Therefore, college students’physical and mental health has received wide attention, even controversy.The "post-90s",completely different from the previous generation, has become the main body of college students and our daily topic and focus. Their ideological concept, individual behaviour, interpersonal relationship and moral ethics have distinct characteristics of the times. Medical college students, who are diffrenf from other college students, have to take a long-length schooling, more professional competitors, and skip higher employment threshold, thus possibly causing differences in ideological and political status. So this paper adopted "post-90s " medical students as the research subject to investigate their ideological and political condition. The results indicated that their mainstream value in the political ideology was positive, but many problems that restriced "post-90s" medical students’ healthy development were brought to our attention. In other words, this situation has brought new challenges to medical college ideological and political education. Medical universities and colleges should actively explore new countermeasures in ideological and political education to solve the "post-90s " students’ ideological problems and improve their development environment.This paper attempted to analyze " post-90s " medical college students’ ideological and political situation, summarized their general characteristics, studied the ideological and political education problems and reasons, proposed new ideas and methods, tried to lead the "post-90s "medical college students’ ideological and political education into the depths, so as to promote their healthy development.This paper was divided into three parts. Part1discusssed the general features of "post-90s" medical college students. The questionnaire analysis showed that medical students’ideological moral mainstream was healthy and upward, but there were some problems. The general features of their ideology include:firstly, in political belief, they follow the leadership of the Communist Party of China despite their belief desalianation; secondly, in patriotic emotion, they have strong patriotic consciousness but weak sense of social responsibility; thirdly, in the concept of value, they pursuit both the contribution to the society and self-happiness;fourthly, in social morality, the higher moral cognition and poorer moral self-discipline coexist among them;fifthly, in the life occupation outlook, they seek developmental career and quick success;sixthly, in interpersonal relationship, solidarity, sincere cooperation, instant-benefit seeking, and emotional loneliness coexist. These features laid foundation for the further study on the ideological and political education problems and countermeasures.Part2analyzed " post-90s " medical college students’ ideological and political education problems and reasons. This part introduced the questionnaire investigation process, analyzed and summarized the " post-90s" medical college students’ideological problems, mainly from the political thought, outlook on life and values, morals, occupation view and interpersonal aspects;at the same time, it analyzed "post-90s " medical college students’ideological problems and causes, and pointed out the problems in political education of medical colleges:ideological and political education is vague in content, aimed too high, and lack of effective methods, teachers of "Two Courses" have old ideas.Part3proposed effective countermeasures to carry out "post-90s" medical college students’ ideological and political education. In order to help the " post-90s " medical college students grow up healthily, ideological and political education should actively explore effective countermeasures. First of all, we should correctly understand the aim of medical college ideological and political education. Secondly, we should explore the effective methods, e.g. reinforce the positive effect of self-education, release the inner power of moral education, reinforce the educational function of class teaching, enrich, perfect, and normative volunteer activities and social practice, play the role of practice, strengthen the people-oriented occupation moral education, highlight medical ethics education, make full use of cyber source, play the role of cyber group education, emphasize the exploration of new media and new educational approaches, and actively learn from developed countries and advanced educational philosophy; thirdly, we have to highlight psychological health education in order to help " post-90s" medical college students grow up with healthy psychological quality; finally, we ought to take a series of measures to ensure that these countermeasures can be implemented correctly.
