Nowdays, our society pays more attention to Quality-oriented Education. Teachers come to realize that they should teach students in accordance with their aptitude and treat students fairly. So that the students could have good opportunities for advancement in school. However, there are still some teachers have the sense of hierarchy, they divide students into different levels according to score and behavior and treat students differently. Some students who fail in the exam or act badly in school are labelled "problem students". This article demonstrates that what led to the phenomenon of "problem students" and by comparing "problem students" with ordinary student, finding the difference. In practice, we try to get rid of the labell "problem students".Combining qualitative and quantitative, this research found:1. The formation of the label "problem students" is divided into three phases:labeling, strengthen labels and recognized labels. Teacher labels their students as "problem students" because their act badly in school or their stereotyped impression. Teachers and other students continue to strengthen that label and make those "problem students" accept that label gradually. This prejudice makes those so called "problem students" have more and more problems.2. There are many differencese between "problem students" and ordinary student in learning, discipline, behavior, psychological evaluation, especially in learning field. "Problem students" have an aggressive behavior in psychology, bad act in discipline especially for male. It has some difference in personal reviews but it doesn’t obvious. Scores are not the most important thing when teacher evaluate their students, instead of behavior and psychology.3. After our group involved in helping those "problem students", it has a good infectiong that they get rid of the label. Those "problem students" become more confidence and self-respect. But their learning and behavior didn’t have a perceptible improvement.4. Teachers pay attention to their education program, but students focus on their own feeling. This kind of difference influences the realationship between students and teachers. Students also have different label to different teachers. It according to students feeling and decide which kind of teacher are more popular, but meaningless for teachers.By the research, social work on the "problem students" is effective, but also need for the effort of the whole society can be a more effective collaboration. Although in our country is just at a start-up phase, but its effect on solving problem is visible. For those "problem students", social work is very important and effective to sovle their problem. Meanwhile, how the family and societ infulence those "problem students" could be a new field for further research.
