At present, the development of primary school English teacher professionalism comes mainly from classroom teaching practice. They are not very familiar with the concept of nonverbal behavior, but know some of body gesture, face expression, intonation and so on which are the basic qualities of English teacher.Therefore, from a development perspective,in order to improve the teaching effectiveness learning nonverbal behavior must be included in the English teachers’ professional development. So classroom teacher nonverbal behavior research can not only promote the study of primary school English classroom management but also can improve the study of teaching behaviors. Improved and effective teachers’ nonverbal behavior can dignify teacher’s role in the class,while showing teacher’s beautiful posture and teaching style which is beneficial for professional training during the pre-employment and employee period.Therefore, this paper aims to study elementary school English teachers using classroom non-verbal behavior and analyze the differences between novice teachers and skilled teachers to use non-verbal behavior, find out problems,then analyzed and propose recommendations.In this paper, the object is selected Chengdu elementary school English teachers in a district as the research object, but also on sampling conducted classes which is form the teaching the whole class sampling, the students investigated are assisted. By using literature, questionnaires and non-participatory observation from both teachers and students to collect and analyze data. Analysis of primary school English teachers for classroom understanding of non-verbal behavior used. And study the current situation of the novice- skilled teachers’ using non-verbal behavior in class, then different awareness between students and teachers about the categories of non-verbal behavior, novice- skilled English teachers use non-verbal behavior of different types and functions. Furthermore come to elementary school English classroom nonverbal behavior type distribution function. There is a result that the use of non-verbal behavior problems has some problems and meanwhile propose improvement strategies.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part focuses on the introduction of the theory and importance of this. Secondly, the literature review describes the non-verbal behavior and nonverbal behavior of teachers in research and development at home and abroad. The third part is the study design, literature, questionnaire, and observation of primary school English teachers in the classroom to do a survey of non-verbal behavior. Part four analyzes the novice- skilled teachers in the classroom use of non-verbal behavior. Part five discusses the main problems, and give three observation and evaluation criteria recommendations for changes in the theoretical knowledge training of non-verbal behavior, hold elementary school English teacher nonverbal behavior of lectures and classroom observation and evaluation English class.
