Study Of The Communication Model Of Online Education Based On OCW And MOOC

With the development and spread of Massive Open Online Course, the term, Online Education, are back to the concern of people again. The features of MOOC, Massive, open, and free, are inspiring all the learners from different countries, and MOOC has spread from American to Europe, Australia and Asia. In 2013, MOOC came to China, and students in China could enroll into all kinds of excellent courses from the top universities over the world. After a while, universities in China and Ministry of Education started to initiate MOOC program in China, which was the time when XuetangX.com and Chinese Universities MOOC projects launched. This thesis will focus on the Study of the communication model of online education based on OCW and MOOC by using the two-way communication theory form A. J. Romiszowski, case analysis method and comparative research method. At first, the study chose OCW and MOOC as entry point to trace their development at home and abroad, and put the communication barrier into consideration. Secondly, the thesis studied on the each part of online education communication to get its communication model. At last, by comparing the communication models of online education and traditional education, the study got the same and different part of their communication models.
