Research On Chen Muhua’s Thoughts Of Women’s Liberation

Chen Muhua(1921-2011), she has taken the office of vice-premier of the People’s Republic of China. And she was the chairman of the6th and7th Women’s Federation. Her thoughts are deserved to be researched and spread. When she took the office of chairman of the Women’s Federation from1988to1998, China was facing the hard part of the reform and opening-up policy. Women’s movements in China fitted in with the new situation and met new chances and missions which are unprecedented. Chen Muhua inherited and developed Marxism Women theories, Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin’s thoughts of women’s liberation. She created her unique thoughts of women’s liberation during the ten year’s practices on women’s movements in China. As a foregoer, she accumulated abundant experiences about women’s work. Chen Muhua combined Marxism Women theories with the reality of China’s women movements. And she enriched and developed Marxism Women theories which promoted women’s social status and guaranteed their rights to a great extent.This paper is centre on researching her thoughts of women’s liberation. And this paper makes a primary research about the formation, outstanding features and realistic enlightenments of Chen Muhua’s thoughts of women’s liberation comprehensively. At first, the paper presents the meaning of women’s liberation and presents its developing process in China. Based on this, the paper expounds the development course of the Chen Muhua’s women liberation thoughts in four stages according her personal experiences and historical background. This paper analyses the theory source depending on Marxism Women theories, Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin’s thoughts of women’s liberation. And elaborates the primary content of Chen Muhua’s thoughts of women liberation systematically:female self-improvement is a strategic goal, protect women’s rights in accordance with law is a basic task, Combining the women’s liberation and social progress is the key, to improve women’s participation in national and the scale and level of social affairs management is method. At last, this paper analyses Chen Muhua’s thoughts of women’s liberation’s historical status from the theoretical value and practical value. And then discusses the realistic enlightenment of Chen Muhua’s thoughts of women’s liberation from different angles, and promulgates its importance on instructing woman working practice.
