The Collation On Yanzi Chunqiu Of Wenyuange Sikuquanshu’s Edition

Yanzi chunqiu was considered as a forged work by the Song scholars, and few people ever studied it thereafter. Since the bamboo slips edition of Yanzi chunqiu was unearthed from Yinqueshan Han dynasty tombs in 1972, the statement that Yanzi chunqiu is a forged work collapsed without being attacked. This work has rich content as well as ideas. It not only embodies Yan Ying’s political viewpoints, but also reveals the political situations of Qi. For studying the history, philosophy and literature of the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States periods, this book is a significant reference.This thesis adopts Yanzi chunqiu in the Wenyuange Sikuquanshu as the fundamental edition, collates with Wu Zeyu’s Yanzi chunqiu jishi and Zhang Chunyi’s Yanzi chunqiu jiaozhu. The author also referentially uses Ling Chengchu’s edition, Sibucongkan’s edition, Sikuquanshuhuiyao’s edition, Wu Zi’s edition, Chongwenshuju’s edition, Zhejiangshuju’s edition, Hongwenshuju’s edition and Yinqueshan’s edition. Therefore, the variant characters in the edition of Wenyuange Sikuquanshu will be textual criticized and its mistakes will be rectified. The author sincerely hopes to facilitate the collation and study of Yanzi chunqiu, honorably pleasing guidance and correction from readers and experts.
